The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) unveiled the “Saa₹thi” mobile app in Mumbai on Wednesday, aimed at educating investors. This app is designed to raise awareness about fundamental concepts in the securities market. In a press release, the market regulator stated that the app will cover topics such as the KYC process, trading and settlement, mutual funds (MF), recent market developments, and mechanisms for addressing investor grievances.
SEBI Chairman Ajay Tyagi, during the app’s launch, expressed that this initiative is part of SEBI’s efforts to empower investors with knowledge about the securities market. Given the increasing number of individual investors and the prevalence of mobile-based trading, Tyagi highlighted the app’s convenience in providing relevant information. He anticipated its popularity, especially among young investors.
The SEBI Saa₹thi mobile app is currently available in Hindi and English, with versions for Android and iOS accessible through the Play Store and App Store, respectively. Tyagi also mentioned plans to make the app available in regional languages in the future.
